Portland Dance Academy/Pacific Festival Ballet is pleased to announce our wonderful Summer Camps being presented again for 2006. These camps are for children 5-12 years old and include a performance every Friday for friends and family. All camps include dance, drama, music and craft costuming. Every student has a chance to perform. Each child is a star! This year’s stories are:
Madeleine July 10 - July 14
A dance camp based on the story of a Parisian orphan, her friends, and their many adventures, by Ludwig Bemelmans.
Lion King July 24 - July 28
Experience the phenomenon of the popular musical, The Lion King. Learn to dance, sing, & act through the unforgettable score including “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” by Elton John.

- Leotards
- Dance Shoes
- Sack Lunch
- Snack
- Drink
Childcare will be provided from 8:30-10:00am, and 3-5pm Cost: $5.00 per child per hour.
Director Gail Black has toured internationally and performed with the Bob Hope USO shows, Debbie Reynolds Show and Neil Diamond. In addition to several local studios, she has taught at Portland State University, Mt. Hood Community College, and Oregon State University. Ms. Black has choreographed Oklahoma!, Hello Dolly, Anything Goes, and The Music Man for local productions. In addition she has also choreographed convention floor shows for the Benson, Marriott, and Hilton Hotels. She has also directed and choreographed for the Dazzle and Company, and co-directed the Portland Trail Blazer Dance Team. Gail Black and the Dazzle company auditioned and were awarded the honor of performing at Disneyworld, May 2000.
